A is for Agonize

Back in the days before I kept an online journal of my own, I had so many posts rattling around in my brain. Funny how now, more often than not, I sit down to the keyboard with nothing more than a vague jumbled mess of thoughts instead of a proper entry. Summer seems to have aggravated this condition. Anyway, when I came across the Encyclopedia of Me meme on Carol’s blog, I figured that the structure might inspire me to think in different ways.

In theory, that is….

As it turns out, so far it’s proven to give me more anxiety. It took me two days to think of a good “A” descriptor, so there you go: agonize. Nothing could sum up my processes better. Oh, I may appear decisive, occasionally, but believe me when I tell you that every single decision is accompanied by a healthy dose of agony. Usually on the back end. In fact, I think I’ll just hit “publish” now so that I can go and get a jump on agonizing over the next twenty-five choices.

Have a great weekend! [Should I have tacked that on? Maybe I should have included a photo of some sort....]

Edited to add: It occurred to me that I treated this exercise as more of a “Dictionary of Me”. Well, at least there are 25 more tries to get it right. Thank goodness this doesn’t count toward my final grade.

  3. I can totally relate. I create my own anxiety while attempting to make the “perfect decision”. Never mind there iprobably isn’t a perfect decision. Maybe I should write my own post on this issue. I certainly have a eough thought to keep me busy for a while. Thanks for getting me started.
