Can I Get a Do-Over?

Not to sound like a broken record, but even though I know that it’s April, I’m not sure that my brain has really taken ownership of this information. It is, though; it really is April, and has been all week. Know what that means? Our household’s 2nd annual Official Conservation Month should already be in full swing!

Yes, here at Casa Snappy we thought it would be a fun challenge to dedicate the month of April to all manner of conservation efforts. I think we picked April because of Earth Day, but concentrating on being more eco-friendly is only one facet of our project. We’re even more interested in another “green” concern: sweet, sweet cash. Yes, squeezing every nickel for all it’s worth. We’ll be fixing our gaze on the bottom line (er, more than usual.)

Hopefully by Monday I’ll have fleshed out what some of our goals will be for this (now abbreviated) month’s challenge. It will be packed with exciting things, I assure you.  Let’s see – last year one of the highlights was seeing how long we could make one roll of paper towels last. We’re talking heart-in-your-throat suspense, Friends! Along with saving, I’ll also continue with all manner of Spring Cleaning, which has turned into a major season-long event.

Oh, and if you happen to be wondering why we would put ourselves through the paces of such a ridiculous exercise? For one, I guess you could say that we’re pretty easily entertained. It might also have a little to do with the fact that I read 52 Projects at the beginning of last year and immediately began turning every little thing into a project of some sort.  Just a theory.

  1. Yep, you can have a do over. Thank goodness we’re adults and we can do what we like. 🙂

A bit extreme for my tastes, but interesting idea!

Have fun with your project – as long as you stick to paper towels, not t.p.!
